Bronner Bros. Held Their Summer International Beauty Show In Atlanta And The Crowds And Celebs Showed Up And Showed Out!!!
I have said it once and I will say it again…If you have never been to The Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show that is held twice a year in Atlanta you are definitely missing out. The Bronner Family has been a staple in Atlanta for decades and besides offering top quality beauty products, the family has held it’s beauty show for 71 years in the city of Atlanta! The show is a tradition for folks in Atlanta and around the world. And this year did not disappoint.
As always, stylists made their way to the Georgia World Congress Center to attend cutting edge industry classes and show off their skills and talents in show floor demos and competitions, such as the Super Hero-themed Fantasy Hair Competition and the Barber Competion, which had its first female winner ever, barber Jasmine Harris and the “…Battle of the Styling Teams,”which had a 10K Dollars Grand Prize won by Ashtae Products for their humorous church inspired presentation: Temples and Edges!!! The creativity and the drama was THICK!!! And Attendees were treated to some of the most magical hairstyling that I have ever seen.
Although the battles were definite highlights of the 3 day show, the Attendees were also entertained by nighttime events such as a comedy show headlined by Jess Hilarious and a concert by August Alsina!
As always, one of the mainstays of the Bronner Weekend is the celebrity sightings! And they were out in full effect! Love and Hip Hop Executive Producer, Mona Scott Young and Deon Cole (Black-ish) attended the show for the first time, as they promoted their new projects. Mona has a juicy new novel out, Blurred lines, which promises to have all the steaminess of a season of Love and Hip Hop. And Deon has come out with his own hair product, EZ-Scratch, a tool that’s designed to get to those hard to reach itches that we all hate!
Other celebrities in attendance included: Remy Ma, Papoose, Keysha Ka’oir, Karlie Redd, Young Joc, Momma Dee and Lil Momma. Also infamous Celebrity Stylists that we know and love from our TV screens were in attendance as well, including: Derek J, Miss Lawrence, Gocha Hawkins and Dwight Eubanks, who serves as a contest judge almost every show!
The energy was high throughout the weekend and the vendors and sponsors made sure to keep the attendees excited and engaged with elaborate booths and eye catching displays on the show floor. For example, AT&T wowed the crowd as they gave away new phones at the night events, while Netflix set up a Photo Booth to promote their original movie, Nappily Ever After, starring Sanaa Lathan.
But in case you missed it, don’t worry! The Bronner Bros. Show will be back in March BUT due to the upcoming Super Bowl in ATL, for the first time EVER the show is going on the road! And the location will be none other than New Orleans! Now this I can not miss and neither should you! See y’all in The Big Easy!
Here’s a few more pics from the fabulous weekend!
